The Significance of Elevated Lactate Dehydrogenase and Creatine Kinase Activities as Prognostic Biomarkers for the Mortality in Patients with Terminal Cancers

Background: Both creatine kinase (CK) and/or lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) mutually are elevatedsignificantly in many tumors. This study hypothesizes that LDH was evaluated as a prognostic factor forsurvival time patients with terminal cancer (PTC). Additionally, CK considered valuable assessingprognosis of advanced patients. aimed to estimate the change CK/LDH levelsin different types comparing controls, and investigate their prognosticsignificance for survival termination PTC.Methodology: The performed at Cancer Central Research Clinic Baghdad. We quantitated using colorimetric method sixty PTC, twenty age/sex-matched healthy adults.Results: Serum values were significantly increased PTC compared controls (p<0.001).There weak non-significant correlation between CKLDH control. There nonsignificantcorrelation levels types, except lymphaticcancer.Conclusion: In agreement our hypothesis, serum thepatients approached death.
